Rachael is the founder of Liberty Plain Consulting and has more than two decades of experience in public affairs and strategic storytelling.
Prior to starting Liberty Plain, Rachael served as media attaché at U.S. Embassy Singapore. She acted as advisor to the Ambassador and senior staff, and directed the Embassy’s social media engagement and press operations.
Before joining the U.S. Mission to Singapore, Rachael led marketing communications strategy for a leading wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance, and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer in Asia Pacific. Her portfolio included strategic planning, corporate messaging and implementation of region-wide campaigns.
Previously, Rachael held a number of public and government affairs positions at a leading Fortune integrated energy company. She served as a lead on-the-record spokesperson and primary media contact for the company’s global operations.
Rachael also has wealth of experience directing public affairs and strategic communications engagement for organizations and clients in the healthcare sector.
As the Director of Marketing and Communications at a medical technology provider, she supervised all corporate and marketing communications functions, including the company’s first multi-million dollar product launch.
While serving as the Public Relations Manager for the Heart Rhythm Society, Rachael led the Society’s media relations efforts and developed and executed communications campaigns to support HRS’ annual scientific sessions.
At APCO Worldwide and Strand Communications Strategies, Rachael provided strategic communications counsel and managed public affairs projects for a variety of clients in the healthcare, financial and legal sectors.
Rachael was a regular contributor to The Boston Globe and The Washington Examiner. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and The London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
